Aviation Soul began with a love of aviation and a belief that the milestones earned along the way deserve to be remembered.

A Letter from Our Founder

After my first flight in a Cessna 182, I knew I wanted to be closer to the sky. That experience led me to flight training and eventually inspired the creation of Aviation Soul.

For years I ran a business in IT, selling services you could never quite hold in your hands. I wanted to build something tangible instead, something you could see, touch, and keep. Aviation gave me the subject, and a challenge coin gave me the form.

The idea was also shaped by something I had seen throughout my life. My father, a retired Navy Senior Chief, carried challenge coins that represented his service, the people he served alongside, and the moments that mattered. Each coin told part of his story.

I believed aviation deserved something similar.

Every first solo, certificate, rating, endorsement, and career achievement represents countless hours of preparation, persistence, and sacrifice. These are more than entries in a logbook. They are chapters in a person's aviation journey.

Aviation Soul creates tangible reminders of those moments.

Today, our coins are given by instructors, families, flight schools, airports, aviation organizations, and fellow aviators. We also work with organizations to create custom coins that commemorate their own missions, people, and stories.

We remain a small, family-run business based in Wisconsin. We take pride in the details, the relationships we build, and the meaning behind every coin we send into the world.
